At a maeeting of the shooting committee of the Gisborne Rifles bold on Monday evening a number of men were chosen to represent the company at the Poverty Bay Rifle Association meeting. Oil Saturday a competition will be held over tlie ranges of tlio Association’s matches, and on the scores made tho rest will be chosen. It is possible that the Rifles will have two or throe teams in the teams match for teams of five men. Teams are entered from the Motu and Tiniroto Rifle Clulis, and as the Mounted Rifles will have either one or two teams entered, the match should prove very interesting.
