SEDDON NATIONAL MEMORIAL. OWING to the impossibility oi securing a suitable site for a Technical University, it lias now been decided to erect a Public Monument hi Wellington to the memory of the late Right Hon. It. J. Seddon. The monument is intended to bo a National Memorial, and it is hoped that the inhabitants of Gisborne and its neighborhood will heartily support the movement. Subscriiitions in any sums from one shilling upwards will be gladly received and duly ■ acknowledged- His Worship the Mayor has kindly consented to allow contributions to be received at the offices of the Council, where subscription lists have been deposited.
