All users of two-wheeled vehicles know tho difficulty that is frequently experienced in adjusting the seat to suit the variations of road grades. Sometimes tho driver, in order to ease the load of his horse, has to lean well forward,’at other times ho has to lean well back, and if an extra passenger is taken up, the seat has to be shifted. Mr C. Martin, of Eltham, has taken out a patent for a device that over comes all difficulties. By means of a small lover and ratchet wheel tho driver, without altering his position, can shift the seats backwards or forwards without tho slightest trouble. Going up hill, the seat, with tho passengers, can in less than a second of time bo pushed forward to ease the horse, or going down hill it can in the same manner be pushed back. We have seen tho device at work, and pronounce it to be a great success. Eltliam Argus.
