Farewell Handicap, of 8 sovs. 1 mile. Nominations Bs. Post entry immediately after District race (6). CONDITIONS. Horses entering for District Race to have been in the district and the bona fide property of residents for at least 1 three months previous to races. The winner of any race after declaration of weights to carry 71bs. penalty. Jockeys riding in races to wear colors. Protests to be lodged with the Secretary, in writing, within 15 minutes of the disputed event, and accompanied by a deposit of £2. Such deposit to be forfeited should the protest not be sustained. Entries, etc., by telegram must be confirmed in writing at the earliest opportunity, under a penalty not exceeding £lO. (yide Rule 45.) No nominations or acceptances will be entertnined unless accompanied by necessary fees. In the event of telegraphic communication being interrupted, either on the day of nominations or acceptances, they will be deferred until one day after communication is renewed. All races run under the Metropolitan Rules, Committee’s decision final.
