FLEMINGTON MEETING.’ REALM WINS THE CUR. Press Association—Copyright. Recoived 7 p.m., March 6th. MELBOURNE, March 5. The weather was beautifully fine and cool for tho second day of the autumn meeting. The heavy rain last night made a mess of the course, and prevented fast times. The stewards this morning found that portions of the course wore under water. The six furlongs race, as a result, had to be run on the tan instead of on the six furlongs courso. There was a large attendance.

The results were:— Ascot Vale Stakes. Mazaun ... ... 1 Peru ... .... ' ... 2 Scodie ... 3 Turn others started. Peru led to the distance, and finished a short head behind the winner. Time 1.27. AUSTRALIAN CUP. Realm ... ... ... 1 Booran ... ... ... 2 Mira ■■■ ... 3

W. H. Smith, Mayking, Cliarmont, and Antonious were scratched. Booran lead past the stand and along the riverside. At the back Pius got the load, Booran being eight lengths away. Booran took the lead at the home turn, and was first into the straight, tyh ere Realm, Mira, and Proceedor all made a rush, there being a desperate finish. Realm won by half a neck, half a length separating second and third. Dyed Garments was fourth. Time, 4.8 J.

March Steeplechase. Up-to-date, 12.0 1 Abdullah, 11.3 2 The Barber,' 11.0 3 Tho other starters were Sultana, Warfield, Signet, Marsupial, Maftow 1 , and Dozer. TJp-to-Date led all the way and won by five lengths. The betting was 3 to 1 the winner.

Bourke Handicap. lstria, 8.0 1 Scotland, 7.12 2 AVanden, 7.G 3 Fifteen others started. The bettting was 9 to 1 Step Out, 10 tb 1 lstria. Scotland led into the straight but lstria shot out and won by four lengths. Time, 1.28. Junior Handicap. Miss Mulster. 8.2 1 Orfano, 7.2 2 AVoorooma, (3.12 3 Ton others started. Betting: 7 to 2 the winner, Orfano led to within a low yards of the post. Mis Mulster won by a head. Time, 1.163. TOLAGO BAY ACCEPTANCES.
