The winner of any race after declaration of weights to carry 71bs. penally, Jockeys riding in races to wear colors. Protests to be lodged with the Secretary, in writing, within 15 minutes of the. disputed event, and accompanied by a deposit of £2. Such deposit to be forfeited should the protest not bo sustained. Entries, etc., by telegram must bo confirmed in writing at the earliest opportunity, under a penalty not exceeding £io. (Vide Rule 45.) No ' nominations 'or acceptances will be entertained unless accompanied by necessary fees.
