Press Association. DUNEDIN, bid night. Tho New South Wales bowlers were welcomed to Dunedin yesterday morning, when a liumbor of speeches were made by local and visiting liowlors. Tho manager of tho Now South Wales team said that Now Zoalanders had a wonderful country to talk about. As to their drought, if this was their drought what would lie their rainfall? New Zealand peoplo should just see what an Australian drought was like. Roferonco was made to some uncomplimentary remarks which had appeared in certain papers regarding Australian greous, and one visitor stated that greens in Australia wore equal, if not superior, to tho New Zealand greens. The Now South Wales team played Otago yesterday afternoon in fine weather. There was a large attendance. Tho visitors were defeated by 16 points.
