ROWING.
The following handicaps have been declared for Poverty Bay Rowing Club races to he rowed this tide for a handsome silver cup presented by Broad, for single sculling, on the Tarulieru course, distance one mile; Wednesday: T. Sheen (15sec) v J. AVebb (ISsec), A. Pritchard (18sec) v. H. Taylor (15sec). Thursday: W. AlcGuflie (12see) v. D. Alurray (24sec), AI. AlcLeod (14 sec) v. C. Somervell (Msec). Friday: F. Fox (20sec) v. R. -Jones (scratch), Horgan (20sec) v J. Nicolas (12sec). Saturday: E. Tliaxter (24sec) 'v. Henderson (28sec), F. Seymour (20 sec) v. T. Parker (30sec), P. Willoughby (20sec) a bye. Great interest is being taken in these events, and some good finishes should result. The first race will he rowed this evening at 5 sharp.
