IN\ ERCARGILL, last night. An inquiry was held to-night by the committee of the Southend Racing Club, which disqualified A. Shaw for five years for deliberately pulling Bluostone in the Gladstone Handicap a ’ : races. The horse was disqualified for a similar term. The owner R Kennedy, who was not present at the races, was disqualified fo> one year, and his brother, W. Kennedy, who said he was acting as A. Kennedy s representative, was disqualified for five years.

There are several new buyers, including the representatives of several American firms, which have not before been represented at a Timaru wool sale. Tho wool has come forward iu good condition, and it is expected high prices will rule.
