SHOOTING.
EAST COAST MOUNTED RIFLES. The firing for the Champion Belt in connection with the East Coast Mounted Rifles, was concluded yesterday at the M.akatiri range, SergtMajor Morrison securing a decisive victory by putting up 22 at the thousand yards range. Sergt. Zachariali was leading well up to the final range. The total scores were:— Champion Belt. Sergt.Major Morrison, Ist 206 Sergt. A. Zaelmriah, 2nd 196 incut. Evans, 3rd 185 Mr. Hutchinson’s Cup. The final for this Cup was also shot off yesterday, and won by Sergt. A. Zachariali, with a total score of 167, Lieut. Evans being second with 159, and Sergt-Major Morrison third with 135. The following were the scores in the second round for Mr. Hutchinson s Cup:—
