THE GAUMONT CHRONOPHONE.
Tho Gaumont Chronophonc, to bo exhibited by tho Stonham-Morrison Company at llis Majesty’s Theatre on Wednesday and Thursday next, has boon attracting large audiences wherever it has been shown. The entertainment presented is one that may bo said to be novel in many I respects, and excellent in all. No doubt some curiosity has been aroused as to how pictures thrown on a screen could be made I to talk, sing, laugh and whistle. Yet by an ingenious ccmbinfttion of biogntph I machiDO and cyclophone, and action accompany each other _with remarkable correctness, The 1- ireinen s Song,” “ Tho Swing Song ” from “ Veronique,” -‘Let Me Like a Soldier Fall, from “ Maritana,” are all good items. In the coster’s whistling solo,. from “11 Baceio,” the chronophone has its masterpiece, Tho comic songs, “ Ticklish lieuben,” “ Strolling Homo with Angelina,” and“ The Twin Duet,” from “ The French 1 Maid" m equally as successful.
