Tae latter, in an affidavit, sot out the necessity of postponement, to enable him to pcepare his ease. Ho declared that bo had not been guilty of any offence against she law of the State. Mr Raid, in lengthy argument in favor of a poatponemetit, said they usked the opportunity to bring forward such oxplauaiions as would load tba Court to rao conclusion that tbo finding of tbo Linda Commission wa3 wrong. Tub Chief Justice said the only tniog.the Court was concerned about was tho finding that Crick received naif Close’s fees. Eventually a postponement w-s granted till the first day in next term, February.
