Thomas rode strongly when tho boll went. Smith and Ilendy led all along tho back stretch. Then Thomas closed oil them, ■ while Morgan, who had previously caught them, led into the straight with liehir close up. Half way from home Thomas gave a great jump, and dashed away, winning by a length, Tho time was 0.59, which constitutes a record for the race.
