W. Eroggatt suggested that section 1, block 10, Hangaroa, be opened for selection as early as possible.—Agreed to. The land officer wrote with reference to the proposed exchange of section 50, Hangaroa stock reserve, for 70 acres in Tauwharetoi No. 3 A block.—Exchange to be recommended.

The district surveyor reported upon sections 2 and 3 of blocks 4 and 8, Waingaromia, which it was proposed to sell to the adjoining owners. —Owners of the adjoining land to be informed that the sections would bo offered under section 16 and 17 of the Land Act.

The Crown Lands ranger, Gisborne, forwarded reports on 14 holdings in Hikurangi, Mata, Opoiti, Nuhaka North, and Matakaoa survey districts, showing improvements required, T 551, and effected, 4)23,681, with 7 defaulters, 6 for non residence, and 1 for improvements. —Defaulters to bo notified that the conditions must bo complied with.
