STOCK SALES AT TOLAGO BAY, The sale of stock under the auspices of tho Tolago Bay Saleyards Company took place in tho Company’s yards at Haiuti on Tuesday. By arrangement the sales for tho various firms were conducted by Mr A. Wachsmaun. Luncheon was provided by tho Company, and the visitors from town' were treated in a way that made the visit a very enjoyable one. Tho attendance was largo. The total entries were not very numerous, but the bidding was brisk throughout, and good prices were realised. Sixteen hundred sheep and 50 head of cattle were disposed of. Fivehundred fat and forward wethers realised 15s 3d each; 300 ditto 15s ; 550 ewes and lambs.. 15s; 100 fat ewes, 12s 6d; 150 small 2-tooth (mixed) 12s 2d; 20 bullooks, T 6 ; fiye steers, £o 2s 6d; dairy cows, £6 to £7 10s; 23 yearlings, .£2.
