SOUTHLAND SHOW.

PRESS ASSOCIATION, Inversargill, last night. For People’s Day at the A. and P. Show there was glorious weather and an attendance of fifteen thousand. The exhibition of draught stock was superior to anything yet 3een in the colony, mares in particular being wonderfully fine. Champion awards were : Entire, J. Patrick’s Pride of Newton; mare, J. Gardiner's Princess Fanny—both international show champions. Thoroughbreds were weak, with one or two exceptions, but light harness horses, hackneys, and roadsters were strong in number and quality, while there was a capital show of harness ponies. Champion awards were : Thoroughbred entire, Mortimer’s Lord Delaval; mare, Kennedy’s Maystone.
