PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT Received 12 4 a.m., Deo. 11. Sydney, Deo. 10. Mr Hughes has been elected Lard Mayer after a oontest with tho present Mayor, reaulsing in a tie. The latter gave his casting vote in favor of his opponent.
