Ashburton, last night. A meeting of delegates of tho Canter* bury Brass Bands Association, formed in tho interests of tho country and secondclass bands, was held at Temuka last night. It was unanimously decided to hold tho next contest at Ashburton in October, 1007. The music for the selection quickstep and quartette competitions will be chosen by the Association’s executive, the judge to bo elected by absolute majority of tho bands competing.
