Yesterday at tho County meeting, reference was made by the Chairman and Councillors to the retirement of Mr Nolan as Chairman of tho Hospital Trustees. Captain Tucker said that no inoro suitable Chairman would bo found than Mr Nolan, and it was regretable that that gentleman could not be induced to reconsider liis decision, lie (Captain Tucker) thought it would bo vory difficult to fill tho gap rnade by Mr Nolan’s ' resignation. Or Harding paid a tribute to Mr Nolan’s scryices as a Hospital Trustee, extending over a great number of years. As a coworker who had sat with Mr Nolan, tho speaker could testify to tho very valuablo services ho had rendered to tho hospital in tho past.
