Burglary In Auckland.

ho till being appropriated. Mr Freeman, ho licensee, did not retire until midnight, and he had a presentiment that something was going to happen. This caused him to walk around the bar and other rooms on the ground iioor at 1 am, with a revolver in his hand, but he saw nothing to justify his anxiety. Subsequent ovents proved that Mr Freeman was right, for when he woke up on Satarday morning he found that the cream of his stock of liquors and tobacco had been taken from the. bar. Nearly a whole case of first-class whisky was taken away, as well as a complete selection of other spirits and wines. Tobacco, cigars, and cigarettes were liberally sampled, and Mr Freeman believes his loss of stock could not be covered by a .£lO note. The till, which contained £2 worth of changs, was cleared, and tho thieves went to the troublo of forcing open an electrical shock machino for tho sake of the pennies ft contained,
