SHIPPING.

Tho scow Hawk (Captain Anderson) arrived intho river yesterday afternoon from Ngunguru, with a load of logs for tho Alpha Company’s sawmills. Bho loft on Sunday, and had a fairly good run down, Mho schooner Awanui (Captain Dowd) arrived in tho Pay yesterday morning from Auckland, and anchored under sholter of Yo mg Nick’s Hoad until the afternoon's tide, when tho vessol was brought into tho river. She brings 6000 ft of timber for Evans, Niold and Co. Tho schooner loft Auckland last Saturday, passing tho East Capo on Tuosday, and getting nearly as far as Waipiro when she had to run back to tho Cape again for shclter-

The scow Rambler (Captain Millen) arrived at Gisborno yesterday afternoon with 75,879 ft of timber consigned to Mr H. Poacocke. Tho Lambler lett tho Bay of Islands last Thursday week, experiencing variable winds and modorato seas, The Iluddart-Parkor Co.’s steamor Zoalaudia arrives from Napier this morning, and procoods to Auckland and Sydney, the last outward launch leaving tho wharf at 10 a.m. Tho U.S.S.Co.’s steamer Waikaro leaves Auckland this aftornoon for Gisborno, arriving to-morrow afternoon, and thence proceeding to Napier and Southern ports, tho last launch being fixed for 5 p.m. as usual.

The schooner Waiapu was at Waipiro yesterday. The steamer Haupiri was waiting at Waipiro yesterday to work the port. A strong wind was blowing and interfering with operations. The steamer Mamari is expected to arrive in Gisborno next week. The schooner Kaoo worked Awanui on Thursday, and Captain Skinner expects to reach Gisborno by Monday. vrTpOftl.S. The aoow Weloocne is on her way to Opno to load a cargo of sawn timber for Messrs Peaoooke and 00., of Gisborne.
