AUCKLAND SHOW.

A--GREAT' “ 3 L - J ~ J i PRESS ASSOCIATION Auckland, last night. l The annual show, held under the ausr pices' of the Auckland Agricultural and - Pastoral Association to-day, proved a great c success. A feature of the show was the i great number of ponies exhibited. In all t about 100 entries were entered, including 1 seven ponies, and it is safe to say that , never before has there been such a pretty i show of pet ponies in Auckland. Horses i were fairly represented, although owing i to the show being later this year a less number of stallions were exhibited. As befits a pastoral and dairying district the ! exhibits of cattle are very numerous; in fact never before has there been so many shown in Auckland The exhibition of I dairy produce is, with _ one exception, the largest that has ever been held throughout the whole colony. That exception was Palmerston North winter show last year, when there was a slight increase over the present exhibition. The quality throughout has been well maintained, tho flavour of the first prize butter in the dairymen's class being particularly good. The same remark also applies to tho second prize exhibit in this class, the judges having tho greatest d.fiiealty io separating the first and second prize winners. One noticeable feature is that there is very little low scoring. The following are the championship awards ; I Draught horses : Entire, John SucklifiL’s Pride of ChenEoie; mare, R.
