During disoussion ia the Portugese Chamber of Doputiou on tho King’s privato debts Dr. Afforca Costa asked the Government to morlg&go the Royai estates and then expel the King like a common criminal. A sceno of great confusion ensued, Dr. Brega, a Republican leader, doolated the King was a thief and a robber. The military wore ordered to clear tho Chamber. A member appealed to tho soldiers to pri oliiita a P.spublic. Bircogeta in the gallery cheered a Republic. Soldiers expelled tho interrupters. Tbo House suspended Drs, Braga and Costa for 39 days.
