OBITUARY.

DEATH OF MR G. ROBB.

One of Gisborne’s respected old identi tics, Mr George Robb, passed away peace fully at nine o’clock last night, after an illness of about throe months’ duration. Mr Robb was a most industrious, unassuming man, who quietly made many friends, and was liked by all who knew him. Ho was a resident of Gisborne for over thirty years, and leaves a sorrowing widow, two daughters, and a sou (of the local post and telograph staff). The deceased had long been in the employ of Messrs Common, Shelton and Co. By trade he was a stonemason, and the kerbing near the post office was work done by him many years ago. He took an active interest in the work of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, and in various ways unostentatiously did much good in the community. Deep sympathy will be extended to Mrs Robb and family.
