PRESS ASSOCIATION. Westport, last night. In tho course of a lengthy judgment, refusing tho application of Captain Furncaux, harbormaster at Westport, for por-< mission to take criminal proceedings against If. If. Munro for alleged defamation, Mr Kendrick, 8.M., says he is of opinion that tho evidence given docs not prove that Munro used any words in his .speech likely to injure Captain Eurnoaux’s reputation or injure him in his profession; that any words used applied to tho administration by the Board, and not to Captain Eurneaux.
