(Times .Correspondent.) November 23, An elderly Maori named Hone Whariki, expired enddenly all Mr Tullook’s woolebed yesterday (Thursday) afternoon. He had been engaged shearing until about 2 p.m., when he complained of feeling unwell and died about an hour afterwarde. Heart disease is supposed to be the oause of death. The deoeaßed lived at Kaitoki, near Wharerata. He was very active for hiß ege, and of a genial disposition. The remains have been conveyed to Nuhaka burial grounds for interment. Shearing has been postponed until Monday next. | The weather is lookiog very unsettled, and there is every appearance of rain. A herd oi 400 head of cattle, belonging to Mr Hal), passed through the district on Wednesday. They were in oharge of Mr ; Bousefield, and were journeying farther 1 north to be put upon fern and manuka oouatry for orushing purposes,
