PRESS ASSOCIATION Wellington, last night, Dr Findlay was sworn in to-night al 6.45 as a member of the Legislative Council, and as Attorney General and Oolonia 1 Secretary, The position as a member oi tho Exeoutive in the Legislative Council carries with it the leadership of thal Chamber.
Sir Josoph Ward has undertaken the portfolio of Minister of Defence. To enable him to do this he has resigned charge of the Department of Industries and Commerce, which has been allotted to Hon. J. McGowan.
