la tho early part of last week a sum of about £2O was stolen from a lady residing in a boarding-house kopt by Mrs EUzibeih Everest. Tho money was taken from a drawer in the bedcoom. The police were called in, but the thief was undiscovered. The lady whose money was taken left the house for fresh lodging). Oa succeeding nights olber boarders were robb9d, the culprit not beingfound. Theother boarders left the house. Mca Everest wa3 not in strong health, and on Monday her death waa hastened by worry r, gtrding tho thefts. Tae police arc unable to throw any light on the thefts.
