At tbe Cock County Counoil yesterday, a letter was rsad from tho Secretary of the Cook Memorial Commistsp, Mr W. J. P. Gaadio, askiDg tbo Council to pay half towards tho cost oi entertaining visitors as promised. The amount was £32 17s, Di whioh tho Borough Council bad paesod half for payment, Tho writer pointed out that with reference So she Ouanty Ocuocil’s suggestion, shot tho Harbor Board should bear a share of exponas, he thought this would hardly be fair, aoeing that the body was nos approached on the question, and none of its members woro on she oommistees appointed. Tbe Cnairman (Captain Tuokrr) said that the Couniy Council had never agreed to pay half with the Borough Council.' Cr Harding : Wo wont very near So it. They had agreed to pay half with the Borough Council, and they should pay i*-.
