CHARGE OF THEFT.
PRESS ASSOCIATION Dunedin, last night. Alfred O. Oadaille, ohsmiet, carrying on . business at the corner of Albany and King streets, was to-day charged that between August let aud Ojtobsr 27th he did steal' 14 boxas of Vanity Fair cigarettes, 38 box-s of Old Judge oigarettes, 71 boxes of Taree Oastles cigarette", and two boxes of tobacco, of a total value of £9O 12s Bd, tha property of J. Rtttray aud Son. After hearing Bvidenoo at length, acohsed was committed for trial and admitted to bail, self iu £2OO and two sureties.
