Millar, wife of the Minister for Labor, of apoplexy. Greymouth, last night. Mr Henry Smith, Inspector of Schools under the Grey Education Board, died to-day, after six weeks’ illness. Hokitika, last night. The Tourist Association of Westland has adopted resolutions thanking the Government for introducing the oneday overland service between Christchurch and Hokitika, and asking for excursion fares to the West Coast during the three summer months for the encouragement of tourist traffic to this district. The Association proposes taking steps to more widely advertise the scenic attractions of Westland, with the object of attracting visitors.
