THE TROUBLE ENDED.

PRESS ASSOCIATION Auckland, last night. The tramway trouble regarding the dismissal of an employee reached a crisis tonight when the traffic wa3 disorganised for about three hours owing to the men refusing to work A conference was then held, when it was agreed that the employee, whose dismissal had caused the trcuble, should be allowed to resign as from the end of November, wages to be paid until that date ; that all tee other mea should be allowed to resume work as if nothing had happened, and that ia future any man accused of an cffence involving his dismissal should have the right to produce j evidence in his favor if procurable. The trams then resumed running os usual.

RIOTOUS BEHAVIOR,

Auckland, last night. At about 7.40 a large crowd gathered in front of the Tramway Company’s Office, and made a hostile demonstration against the managing director.
