The Geiman commander at Klipdam informed the British camp at Bis?gespoort c,n the 6th that Ferriera had intimated to the oommander his intention to start a rebellion, adding that arms and ammunition taken from tho Germans would be returned in a fortnight. Inspector White’s patrol of forty oame in eontaot wiih Ferriera fourteen miles eastward of Upington. After half an. hour’s firing Forriera retired to the bush. Inspector White has returned to Upington, owing to temporary illness. A start was made yesterday to intercept tho second party of freebooters from the German border. A third party is ad» vanoing on Kakamas, and raids are expected at Va'iwykcS7lai, Brandviei, and Blockyonkelk, where there are quantities of unprotected stores, besides much her* vested grain, Guarus poetsd at Kakamas Drift, Orange river, will interoept any attempt of the raiders to return to German territory.
