TRAM FATALITY.
PRESS ASSOCIATION Auckland, last cigbt. A tramway accident with a fatal termination ooeurred in Bymonds street on Sunday. Mrs Alice Taylor, the wife of Mr W. Taylor, manager of Kempthoroe, Prosser aod Company, is alleged to havß jumped from a moving tram car, sustaining fatal injariee. She was picked up uneonsoiou?, A dootor was quickly in attendance. Her skall was fraotured. Concussion of the brain followed. Decaased was removod to a private hospital, but only lingered a short time. She expired without having regained consciousness.
An inquest was held to day on the body of Mrs Annie Taylor, who died from injuries received from a fall from a tram car in bymonds street on Sunday. The verdict of.tha jury, after a short retirement, was that docoased died from concussion of the brain'caused by an accidental fall from a car. They added the following riders : J ‘ (1) That all cars should bo provided with electric bells ; (2) that conductors should announce the approach of ears to each stopping place.”
