HARROWING SCENES.
THE ROGOFF ROBBERY,
tXIrl PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT St. Petersburg, Nov. 9, Harrowing scenes were witnessed at Riga at the exeontion of three boys and four adults charged with robbery. The soldiers were unnerved at tho sight of the youths and fired several volleys before all were killed.
Detaile of the Rogoff disturbance show that 70 men, armed with'Mausers and revolvers, surrounded the railway station, cut the wire, and held up a train. Several bombs wrecked the postal van carriage, killing an escort of sixteen soldiers in the carriage, besides two cffieials. The Rogoff robbers shovelled gold and silver notes into bags. It is estimated that tho value of the booty secured was a million roubles. They then loft the station in military formation, and esoaped in carriages, a body of Cossacks pursuing them.
Reotived 4,54 p.m., Nov. 11. Sf. Petersburg, Nov. 10. The Rogoff robbers overlooked a large sum oonoealed in wreckage. The booty consisted of 50,000 ronbleß in cash, the rest bßing unrealisable drafts and bonds.
