HOLY TRINITY CHURCH

The annual Flower Services, held yesterday in the above Ohurcb, wore orowned with complete suoeoss, being favored with a most beautiful day. p.m, attracted a great gathering of young people and their friends, A yery striking effect was produced by the children uplifting and dedicating tlicir floral offerings, many of which were very beautiful, The Vicar spoke to the children on “ The Voices of the Flowers ” The flowers were afterwards used for decorating the pews of the church. Tho Rev. H. N. Wright prosided at the organ and led tho special music.

Choral evensong was held at 7 o’clock and a great congregation attended The clergy officiating were Revs. M. Cockerill, F. W. Chattcrton, and H. N. Wright. Mr Chattcrton gave the sermon on the text, “ Consider the Lilies,” and his o'narks were very suited to tho occasion, r The Vicar officiated at Mangapapa s hool at 7 p.m. to a very full congregation. A distinoi feature of the fliwer festival was the doeoration of tha ohurcb. Ia spite of tho stormy weather a groat quantity of choice fliwers were given, The chancel and pillars were decorated with arches of greenery, and an onormous I floral cross surmounted the altar. Tho special festival musio wa? heartily sung by the largo ohoir and the oengregation. Too anthems were Dr. Stainer’s “Ye Siall Dwell in the Land,” eucg at Matins, and “ Great is the Lord ” (by Marchaut) at tbe 7 o’clock cvenecng. The vicar of Trinity usks us to convey his warm thanks to all who assisted in making the flower festival so pronounced a Buceess.
