"William F. Clausen, of Otaliuhu, was arrested to day on a charge of manslaughter in connection with the death of his infant child, which took placo at Otaliuhu on October 27. He was remanded until Saturday, At the inquest the jury brought in a verdict of death from natural causes, but added a rider to the effect that carelessness had been shown by deceased’s parents, the father being especially to blamo.
