He followed up the next end with a similar shot for four. Boeddon fairly held his own against Cooper, and was beaten in the last two heads by eight poiats. Dali led practically throughout from Moody. The game was even, Dali settled the game ou the 22ad head. After Soott had drawn against him with a beautiful drive which got five he got three splendidly. Dali was a first clues skipper. Robert led throughout against his opponent. The results were : Tasmanian —Melroes. Hintnan, Inglia, Jackson 10, Durie, Buchanan, Gillies, McLaren 58. Viotoria —Morrison, Pasooe, Smith, Watman 35, Reid, Bee, Smith, Payne 22. New South Wales—Orouob, Gleoister. Forssberg, Harrison 32, Akharat, Shari, Gardner, Wheeler 8. Viotoria Harrison, Horne, Kelly, Cooper 27, Black, Court, Soott, Sneddon 19. Totals —Australia 155, New Zealand 145. After the match Mr Wood, preEilent sf the Vietorien Association, complimented the New Zealanders on their improved form. Mr Payne said the New Zealanders would neyer regret oomiog to Viotoria, notwithstanding that they had lost the rubber. The New Zealanders leave for Tasmania on Monday. They will be entertained by the Viotorian bowlers after the third test to-motrow.
