FLORAL FETE.
Two committees met together last night, the grounds and the sports committees, to arrange the management of the programme for the Floral Fete. Mr Oolley and Mr Rowley reported on tho state of tho Park as being most satisfactory, bath Raoing Club and Agricultural and Pastoral Association assisting the oommitiee most generously by granting the use of rooms and materials. Ample dressing-rooms will be available for the use of boys, and of girls, and most of the floral exhibits v/ill be placed in the produce hall.
Ii was reported that arrangements had been made on behalf of the committee with Mr O. Hansen to exhibit his trained
pony, with Mr Somarvell to give the use of his merry-go-round, and with Meaurs Burton and Griffiths to lend their puuehing apparatus. Theso ofLrs wore gratefully accepted.
The committee divided itself up into sub-oommittees, eaoh to take charge of some part of the programme and see that the various exhibits arc ready far tho judges, so that the programme may be gone through with dispatch.
