Melbourne, Nov 5, For the test match at Moonee Ponds the weather was bitterly cold, affecting the New Zealanders, several of whom were unable to play 3 wing to influenza. The creen was heavy, though it played well. I’he visitors were welcomed by Mr Patti son, Mayor of Essendon. Sneddon led from the start and won easily. Scott got two fives and six. Neall (Bendigo) had charge of New South Wales rink, but Payne, in groat form, won handsomely. Cooper and Dali scored heavily throughout. Roberts and Goodwin played a very fine game. The finest play was by Waxman against McLaren. After the match against Victoria a close name was anticipated, but Waxman played brilliantly throughout and scored a •ureat win. He got two sixes. Moody and Gardiner had a ding dong game throughout. In the middle Moody led by .sixteen, when Gardiner with a couple of good even shots gained a lead, and Australia won only by one point. Totals: Australia 150, New Zealand 149.
