PRESS ASSOCIATION Hok.tika, last night. News has been received by she steamer Jane Douglas from Okuru to-day of a fatal accident at the juncSion of i-ho Haast and Baike’a river?, in South Westland, on October 220 d, George Adams being drowned white .attempting to crass tho river when in flood. The body was nos found on the SOih ult. Tee deceased was a native of Dunedin, and was about 24 years of arc. Ho bad been in the die* tries for two years, and was engaged in prospecting.
