THE ENGLISH TEAM, PRESS ASSOCIATION V/si .it;; on. In t flight. The Miu-ylobouo cricket team which is eu route to New Zealand, consists of the following: De Trall'urd (Leicestershire), May and Rage (Cambridge), Hayward and Burns (Worcester), Johnson and Fox (Somersetshire), Brans ton and Cur won (Oxford), Harrison and Tufuell (Kent), Torrens (Harrow), Wynyard (Hampshire), Douglas jEssex). The team will arrive by the Corinthic on December 4th, and the opening match will be played at New Plymouth on December 7 th.

At a meeting of the Te Eau Cricket Club, held at the College, Mr Andrews presided, Officers were elected as follows :—Captain for Thursday matches, Mr Cary; Deputy Captain, Mr Andrews ; Captain for Saturday matches, Mr Gor man; Deputy Captain, Mr 0. Olsen ; Selection Committee for Thursday, Captain and Messrs Pino and Andrews; for Saturday, Captain and Messrs J. Gibson and Olsen. The Selection Committees to meet on Tuesday night in each week to pick

the teams. Messrs Gorman, Olsen and Cary wore elected a Committee to draft rules for submission to next meeting. The Secretary was instructed to forward to the Cricket Association a list of members who were eligible to play in tho match next Saturday. A discussion took place as to whether the Club should seek outside assistance to help get a net for practice, as the Association seemed very backward in the matter. It was decided that tho Club would be able to finance within themselves, Mr Cary kindly volunteered to lay down a concrete practice pitch for the Club provided they could obtain a suitable ground, and also promised a subscription of a guinea from his firm (Messrs Frank Harris and Co.) Mr Andrews.presented a bat for competition and was suitably thanked. Four new members were introduced and several others were elected,
