Euurmuug crowds thronged tbo city, and beautiful weather prevailing ient great effect to tho spectacular display. , The various courts presented a voryfine appearanoe, and sbowtd ohnruoietietica of the. countries represented in excellent style. The Commissioners and prominent vieitors were wtloomed by a Chamber of Commerce function, which was attended by the Governor. Complimentary speeches were mado by the chairman, Mr A. L, Parsons, the Governor, Premier, Sir John Gorst, and others. The weather b keeping beautiful, and everything is assisting to make the event memorablo. Nearly twelve thousand people visited the Exhibition to night.
