MANAWATU SHOW.
PRESS ASSOCIATION Palmerston North, yesterday. Boisterous weather, with showers of rain, prevailed for the opening of the twenty first spring show of the Manawatu A. and P. Association. The judging set down for the first day is well forward. A speoial feature to-day was the competition for technical school students, Wellington entries being numerous. There was a small entry in the poultry oontests, wbioh j were oonfined to the utility classes. The principal prize winners were : Langshans, Mrs E. H. Hollaed ; in O pmgton (alack), L. O. Horne and G. E. Rmdall, (euff) R. E Bannister ; Wyandottse (goldrn) P. I Go-grove, (dive ) Slack Bro*., (.vhtte) G. E. Rondla and T. West, (partridge) J. Jarvis ; Minocrns, J. H, Mantfar and J. H. Johnston ; Leghorns (white) Mrs E. H. Holland, (brown) T. West ; ducks (fodian Runner), Slack Bros. It iB now fioe, though a high wind continues,
