Now York, Oct. 129. Tho Now York Times’ Washington cor respondent declares that President .Roosevelt and Air Root have contemplated the possibility of a serious clash with Japan. Tho Japanese Ambassador’s manner and language in interviewing Mr Moot are described as very unusual, and produced a decided sensation in the State Departments. Californians are becoming more obstinate. and threaten that if t he Federal Courts undertake to enforce tho treaty of ISiU there will immediately he hostile demonstrations against the Japanese. It is "cared that tho situation is growing in seriousness.
