'attention to tho huge amount of tho vote for represi ntation at the Postal Congress

Sir Joseph Ward, in reply, said that three of them went lo the oonforonoe. Mr Massey wautod to know what his (Sir Joseph’s) allowance was. Ho would tell him it was LBOO of tho amount. Thoro was some disoussion about tho vote to Mrs Fishor, Mr Sidoy and o'.hors pointing out how differently tho House had treated the widow of tho late Mr Morrison, member for Oavorsham.
Sir Joseph Ward’s reply was that in this case the recommondation oamo through a Committee of she House, and that tho lato Mr Fishor was an exMinistor.
Mr Massey oomplaiood of tho vote of LIOOO additional for advertising under the heading “ Tourist’s Department,” end Mr Harries objected to tho additional sum of LIO4O to bo paid in oonneoiion with tho Ptpiriki (Wanganui river) service, which was no doubt made neoassary in oousequence of tho mistake the Public Works Department had made in cutting up she rord with those traction engines.
