PRESS ASSOCIATION Auckland, last night. A most interesting mooting in connection with the Anglican Synod was hold in the Choral B all last night, the subject for discussion being “ Church and Labor.’’ The large hall was filled with a most attentive audience. The Mayor presided. Mr Marshall, of the missions to seamen, who has had experience of manual labor as a coal miner, spoke on the working mans messago to the Church, and Mr P. G. Andrews, who has been requested by some of the labor leaders to voice the views of the workers, spoke on “ what tho wage earnors think of Church.’ It was understood that the speakers were to bo perfectly free and frank in their expressions of opinion, home very strong and candid things vvere said, but perfect order aud good feeling prevailed. Bishop ISeligan concluded with a powerful speech on “ has tho Church a message to labor ? ”
