THE SUPERANNUATION BILL. Special t-o the Times. Wellington, last nigbit. Tho report of tho Public Accounts Committee on the Civil Saryice Super annuaiion Bill was brought up to-day. The Committee recommended that id view of the evidence of Mr Morris Fox (actuary of the Government Life Insurance Department), the Bill be not proceeded with this session. Tho Committee recommended that tbe measure or any other suggested scheme be referred to the Aotuary tn order that be may furnish a report in time to enable the Bill to be dealt with next session. Mr Fox, in his evidence before the Committee, stated that it would bo impossible for him to furnish even an approximate estimate of the responsibilities of the Government under tho Bill, without going into the matter at length. The work to be satisfactory would take two or three months.
