BUGGY ACCIDENT.
BISHOP OF WAIAPU :AND REV, RUDDOCK INJURED.
PRESS ASSOCIATION • Wairoa, last night. Yesterday afternoon tho Bishop of Waiapu and tho Rev. Mr Ruddock, vicar of St. Paul’s, Wairoa, were driving along the Turiroa cutting. A cow frightened the horse, and tho occupants were thrown out of tho gig. Mr Ruddock was unconscious for a time, and when he recovered ho found the Bishop under the trap and the horse lying in the shafts. He dragged the Bishop away, and he was conveyed to Wairoa in a dray and transferred to an ambulance waggon. He passed a very painful night, and it was found this morning that ho had sustained an injury to his left hip joint. His face was all scratched and bruised about the eyes and temples. The Rev. Ruddock was very badly shaken and bruised, and I li is back was hurt. Both are progressing as well as possible.
