London, Oat. 18. Reuter’s Berlin correspondent states that a pseudo captain changed his uniform for civilian clothes at Rixdolf, whore his sword was found. After arresting the mayor in the Kaiser’s name, he tried to extort from tho terrified officials tbe municipal savings bank funds, saying that he wanted two million marks. Fortunately tbe cashier had departed. The police, impressed by the captain’s bearing, kept tbe crowds back while tbe Droops conducted tbe mayor to the oarrisge, the police sergeant and a grenadier oonveyiDg. him to Berlin. The wife of. the mayor was allowed to aocompauy him.
